Overview

The Test Track is one of prime features of any model railway club, and ours is no exception! With over 6 different gauges and combinations of railtypes on offer, the Trest Track allows club members to run and test stock. In addition to this, the younger club members sometimes stage races around and around the track.
The layout itself has been designed in a dodecagon (Twelve-sided) shape, in order to give 6 pairs of boards, and a continuous circle of running line, as opposed to the more conventional oval. Additionally, the compact and easily portable design of this layout means that it somtimes exhibited in the stead of our larger layouts, most recently at the 2006 Norfolk Police gala whilst Brooklands Park was undergoing restoration-
Here, the layout proved a great sucess with yound and old alike, the endearing fascination being watching the trains run round and round and round...............
